Hi friends,
On Monday, I published my latest essay: Expressing Concern is Selfish.
Monday’s essay wasn’t the finish line.
It was the beginning of a conversation.
Over the last two days, women have written to me to say how the piece gave them new language for their own experiences.
With divorce.
With illness.
With parenting.
With entrepreneurship.
With the moments—they now realized—were called “concern,” but actually landed in their bodies as judgment.
Or as someone else’s anxiety to carry.
Or—gratefully—were truly meant as genuine protection.
That’s why I write.
Not because I have all the answers.
But because telling the truth makes us feel less alone.
And navigating life is easier in community than it is in isolation.
The work I’m doing now doesn’t end with publishing an essay every Monday.
It continues in conversation with you.
